Several months ago before there was a site called YigDigs, we conducted a survey of potential For Sale by Owner home sellers. Our survey results showed that over 60% of homeowners already used social media – Facebook, MySpace, Linked-in, and Twitter being the most common. Surprisingly, none of the For Sale by Owner websites that exist today have any type of social media, or “web 2.0″ features. Until now.

When talking to potential customers before launching YigDigs, the number one need that people consistently asked for was information about how to sell their home. That’s why we created a free video tutorial series called “The Seven Easy Steps to Selling your Home”. In addition to the video tutorials page on YigDigs, you can also find the video series on the YigDigs Channel on Youtube. Real Estate Agents Nationwide Signing Up on YigDigs

Even though we just started, several agents from across the United States – including Santa Fe, Austin, Kansas City, and Raleigh – have already signed up on YigDigs to service Flat Fee MLS listings and Agent Assisted listings. YigDigs Homesellers can choose an agent to help them with their listing, and comment on the service received by the agent. More and more home sellers are choosing to “Do it Yourself”, and only use an agent for the services that they may need such as listing in the MLS, negotiating a contract, or working with the title company.
